how we support families
Two Pathways
The Foundations Program
Early Learning at Home
Educator-led early learning for children whose learning happens at home.
The Foundations Program provides personalised early learning programs created by qualified educators, shaped by your child’s interests and development, and designed to be used through everyday play and family life at home.
Designed for children not currently in care, including those attending early learning part-time or transitioning into care.
Childcare Placement Support
like a buyers agent, but for your childcare needs
Independent support to help families find the right childcare fit.
Childcare Placement Support provides independent guidance to help families identify, assess, and secure childcare that aligns with their needs, values, and circumstances. We represent you, not the centres, so recommendations are based on fit, not availability alone.
Designed for families navigating childcare decisions, whether they are ready to enrol, joining waitlists, or reassessing their current arrangement.

How it works

2. We design the program
A qualified educator reviews your input and creates a personalised early learning program shaped by your child’s interests and development, informed by developmental knowledge and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
3. Learning happens at home

Meet Your Parents Agent
Sibel Nas
Hi, I’m Sibel, the founder of The Parents Agent and a mum who’s been exactly where you are now.
Before becoming a parent, I spent over a decade working across almost every role in early childhood education. From trainee to centre director to senior leadership, across long day care, family day care, and OSHC services. I know the system because I’ve lived inside it.
But becoming a parent shifted how I saw it.
When it came time to decide whether to enrol my own son into care, I realised something I hadn’t fully appreciated before. Not that families make different choices, full-time care, part-time care, or no care at all, but that every choice feels heavy. As though getting it wrong might matter more than getting it right.
I saw families delay enrolment for practical, financial, or personal reasons, while quietly worrying their child might be missing something. I saw others secure care and still feel conflicted, guilty, or unsure. No matter the choice, true certainty was hard to come by.
That tension sat at the centre of everything.
For a long time, early learning was spoken about as something that began at the centre door. But for families caring for children at home, that often translated into a different kind of pressure, the feeling that if you weren’t using care, you needed to do more, know more, and somehow still get it right.
Some families choose care. Others care for their children at home. Most move between the two. What they share is the same goal: wanting their child to have access to meaningful, professional early learning, without fear, guilt, or guesswork.
And that’s why I created The Parents Agent: to guide families in making well-informed decisions when choosing a centre, and to ensure that when children are at home, early learning is intentional, educator-led, and never driven by pressure or self-doubt.
FAQS
have a question?
Q: What is The Parents Agent?
A: The Parents Agent supports families to navigate both childcare placement and early learning with confidence. From DIY tools and fully managed placement services to delivering monthly at-home educational programming through The Foundations Program, we help parents make informed, intentional decisions for children.
Q: Who is this service for?
A: Parents and families who want support securing childcare or intentionally supporting their child’s development at home. Our services are suitable whether your child attends care full-time, part-time, is waitlisted, or is primarily at home.
Q: Do you guarantee a placement?
A: No. Childcare availability is controlled by individual services and demand. While we cannot guarantee a placement, our Tailored Placement package is designed to significantly improve your chances through targeted strategy, informed advocacy, and waitlist management.
Q: What if things don’t go smoothly once my child starts?
A: Adjustment periods are common. Our Tailored Placement package includes three months of ongoing advisory support to help you navigate settling challenges, communication with the service, and early concerns. Families may also choose to use our Foundations Program (early learning at home) to support consistency and confidence during transitions.
Q: Do you offer refunds?
A: Due to the nature of our services, purchases are generally non-refundable once work has commenced or digital content has been accessed, including monthly programming. A refund may be considered only if no work has begun and the package does not include digital resources. If concerns arise, we’re always open to discussing a practical solution.
Q: What’s included in the Self-Serve package?
A: Instant access to a complete DIY toolkit for your childcare search. The checklist gives you a clear, step-by-step process that shows you exactly what to look for, what to ask, what to avoid, and how to stay organised as you compare and choose services. It’s everything you need to move from “Where do I start?” to “I’ve got this.”
Q: How does the Search & Shortlist package work?
A: After your purchase, we’ll start with an intake process to understand your family’s needs and outline a clear, tailored timeline for what happens next. From there, we do the groundwork for you by researching and personally touring services in your area, checking availability, and assessing fit. You’ll then receive a tailored shortlist with key details so you can confidently take the next steps: touring the centres yourself, making your selection, and completing enrolment or joining the waitlist.
Q: What’s different about the Tailored Placement package?
A: After your purchase, we’ll start with an intake process to understand your family’s needs and outline a clear, tailored timeline for what happens next. From there, we take care of the entire search and placement process. From contacting centres and personally touring them, to shortlisting up to three recommended options and helping you decide which service to go with. We also manage tour bookings, support waitlists, and guide enrolment paperwork so you can secure a placement or waitlist position with minimal stress. This package also includes three months of ongoing advisory support, giving you peace of mind as your child settles into care.
Q: What is the Foundations Program?
A: The Foundations Program is a monthly at-home programming subscription designed to support children’s learning through intentional experiences parents can confidently deliver. It provides age-appropriate guidance and structure without the pressure or expectation to replicate a childcare program at home.
Q: Can I use the Foundations Program without a placement service?
A: Yes. The Foundations Program can be purchased on its own or alongside any placement package. Many families use it while waiting for a childcare spot, during part-time care, or to complement their child’s experience in a service.
Q: Can I upgrade later if I need more help?
A: Yes. You can upgrade placement packages or add the Foundations Program at any time. Any existing payments will be credited where applicable, at our discretion.
Q: Are your services priced per child?
Childcare Placement Support
No. Our childcare placement support is priced per family, not per child.
The service supports families seeking care for one or more children within the same household and start timeframe, including children of different ages who may require different rooms or programs within the same service.
Where children require care starting at significantly different times or have fundamentally different care requirements, this may be treated as a separate engagement and discussed with you before proceeding.
The Foundations Program
Yes. The Foundations Program is designed per child. Each program is created by a qualified educator and shaped by that child’s individual interests, engagement, and development. For this reason, a separate membership is usually required for each child.
In some cases, families may choose a shared program for siblings where joint experiences are appropriate. Shared programs focus on combined learning experiences rather than individualised programming and may include a small additional monthly fee.
If you are unsure which option is suitable, this can be discussed during onboarding to ensure the approach works well for your children and your family.
Q: What happens after I purchase?
A: All of our services require onboarding for us to commence any work. You will receive an email outlining the exact process for your service or product. This onboarding process begins with completing an intake form.
Q: How long does it take to get results?
A: Timeframes vary depending on location, availability, and your family’s goals. Once intake information is received, we act promptly on our end. Access to the Foundations Program Hub is available immediately upon subscription.
Q: When should I start looking for childcare?
A: Ideally 6–12 months before you need care. Some areas have long or unpredictable waitlists, and centres manage them differently. We help you understand local nuances and build a strategy that works for your situation. Many families use the Foundations Program during this waiting period.
Q: Can you help if I need care urgently?
A: Yes. Urgent cases can be prioritised, though options may be limited. Our Tailored Placement package offers the fastest pathway to securing care. Additional fees may apply for rush requests.
Q: Why should I trust The Parents Agent?
A: Our founder has over a decade of experience across early childhood education. As an educator, centre director, senior leader, and parent. We combine insider knowledge with real-world perspective. However, our guidance is never a replacement for your own instincts as a parent, we encourage you to trust your judgement alongside the insights we provide.
Q: Is the Foundations Program educational or therapeutic?
A: The Foundations Program is educational and advisory only. It does not diagnose, assess, or replace support from health or allied professionals. If developmental concerns arise, we encourage families to seek appropriate professional advice.
Q: Who is Trillion Business Society?
A: The Parents Agent is a brand of Trillion Business Society Pty Ltd. All transactions are securely processed under this entity, which will appear in your cart, at checkout, and on your bank statement.
Q: Do you receive commission from childcare centres?
A: No. We work exclusively for families. Our guidance and recommendations are independent and based solely on your needs.
Q: Is my personal information kept confidential?
A: Yes. Your information is used only for service delivery and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Q: What about my child’s privacy?
A: When using our services, you are not required to provide identifying details such as your child’s full name. Where relevant, we may request basic information such as your child’s age or date of birth to ensure our guidance or programming is developmentally appropriate. We are happy to use a nickname for delivery of our services. If you proceed with enrolling in childcare, you will provide full details directly to the service provider.
